Following on from the huge success of their home entertainment hit THE KRAYS – DEAD MAN WALKING this year, leading indie film company Hereford Films is looking forward to a busy and successful year ahead.
The company’s first horror film THE EXORCISM OF KAREN WALKER is due for its UK release on DVD and digital on February 18th. Hailed as “gripping” by the Daily Star, this haunting tale of kirlian photography and possession stars British television icon Rula Lenska and Britflick bombshell Janine Nerissa. Another horror, PENTAGRAM, currently in post production, is also due for release next year, boasting a compelling premise and a strong ensemble cast including Michael Mckell, Chloe Farnworth and Alexis Rodney. Both horror films are directed by Steve Lawson.
Early in the new year production gets underway on the highly anticipated Krays sequel THE KRAYS – MARKED FOR DEATH. The film focuses on the twins’ involvement in the mysterious death of boxer Freddie Mills, who is accused of being a serial killer known as Jack The Stripper. Chris Ellison, Charlie Woodward, Janine Nerissa, Marc Pickering, NathanJohn Carter and Triana Terry return from the first film, while Mark Harris replaces the late Leslie Grantham as ‘Nipper’ Read.
Harris is also playing iconic underworld slugger Roy Shaw in PRETTY BOY, the film of Shaw’s best-selling autobiography, which is on Hereford’s Spring 2019 slate. Best known for his epic bare knuckle bouts with Lenny ‘The Guvnor’ McLean, Shaw’s hard-hitting story is already being touted as the most brutal film of 2019.
Perhaps the most popular of Hereford’s Films, WE STILL KILL THE OLD WAY gets its second sequel, WE STILL DIE THE OLD WAY in 2019. The first 2 films in the series were recently released in the USA by Archstone and the third and final chapter is expected to be the biggest and best yet. Zackary Adler, fresh from his success with RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER 3, is in the director’s chair this time out.
Also on the company’s 2019 slate is casino heist movie SWIPE and the horror movies WITCH HOUSE (based on a story by HP Lovecraft) and AFTER SHOCK, making Hereford Films one of the busiest production companies in the UK.
After a successful visit to the American Film Market earlier this month, the company has international expansion plans too, with ambitions to open offices in both Los Angeles and the UAE in the future: Hereford is currently building meaningful business relationships in Dubai and elsewhere.
